Ruth Nash Chalmers

Ruth Sylvester Nash Chalmers, b. 26 July 1894, in Cambridge, MA. Died in June 1980. Editor of the Scarsdale Inquirer for 30 years! Tribute Issue (Thank to NNH fro scanning!)

Ruth said she would "never marry a clergyman" Alan was a student at E.T.S. Wedding Announement

Alan Reed Chalmers was also born in Cambridge, MA. Robin has a copy of "Prayers of Henry Sylvester Nash" - privately published. HSN died (gravestone) Grandma's freshman year at Vassar. He taught at E.T.S in Cambridge, now called Episcopil Divinity School.

Also, Ruth was her class president her sophmore, junior and senior year.
